Prayer Shawl Ministry

As Our Lady of Victory entered its Jubilee Year, a group of dedicated women decided that as a way to celebrate 50 years they would make 50 Prayer Shawls to give to people who were ill, recovering from an illness, or grieving the loss of a loved one.  As the jubilee year came to a close, over 175 had been made and delivered to those needing the warmth and comfort of a loving gesture.

Volunteers can be found every Wednesday morning in the Faith Formation Center with their knitting needles and crochet hooks, praying as they work for those who will be recipients of the beautiful shawls.  They welcome anyone to join this happy group.  We also encourage anyone to suggest name(s) of persons who might appreciate receiving a shawl.
