Lunches
For many years, Our Lady of Victory parishioners have provided lunch and friendship for 50-70 needy folks of the Hyannis area. Volunteers deliver 10 lunches consisting of 2 sandwiches, cookies, a banana, a napkin, and a cold drink. The bags are distributed at 11:30 each Sunday morning at the NOAH shelter on Winter Street in Hyannis. To participate, simply sign up on the calendar in the foyer at the rear of the Main Church.
Weekday Meals
The NOAH shelter also depends on OLV volunteers to feed 50/60 clients residing there. Wednesday night, known as “Soup and Sandwich Supper Night” is our responsibility. Volunteers prepare food in their homes and deliver it by 4:45 PM With the help of the kitchen staff, the food is warmed if necessary, and served by 5:30 PM. OLV is proud to be the only group of volunteers to commit to this wonderful service every Wednesday evening. More help is always welcomed and much needed!
