Our Lady of Victory is active in the pro-life ministry by coordinating parish activities through the Parish Respect Life Committee. “Respect Life” here encompasses a primary interest in saving the unborn, together with a strong concern for the poor and needy who are served by organizations in our area dedicated to that need. The committee engages parishioners by offering a wide range of activities that defend and promote the sanctity of human life from conception to natural death.
Activities focus on prayer, education and information, and material/financial support to local agencies. Some examples include: prayer service in January observing the U.S. Supreme Court’s legalization of abortion; annual baby bottle campaign to benefit A Woman’s Concern, a pro-life pregnancy health service; spiritual adoption program, which offers special prayers for those unborn who are threatened with abortion; annual observance of Respect for Life Program in October. Participants are always needed and most welcome.
